Defining Teams & Types of Teams Participants explore what makes a team, the types of team structures and the ingredients necessary to reach high performance.
Personalilty in Teams (optional module): It is recommended that participants learn about personality styles and apply the principles to the diversity of teams. The assessments recommended are True ColorsTM, Personality Dimensions or Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
Exploring Stages of Team Development Participants learn the five stages of team development, the dynamics and needs of people during these stages, and how to coach through each of the stages. Participants will also apply the principles of personality type to teh needs of team members.
Identifying Common Team Problems Participants learn common barriers to team performance and practical coaching strategies to deal with them. Participants are also encouraged to share problems and concerns they are currently experiencing, which are used as case studies to apply the learning.
Coaching Teams for Performance Using a coach approach, participants learn the key principles of leading teams to reach objectives. These include setting realistic and clear goals, defining roles and responsibilities, building team cohesiveness, drawing out team strengths and challenges (SWOT analysis), communications strategies and helping team members problem-solve.
Problem-Solving & Consensus Building for Teams Participants explore and apply various problem-solving models and apply them to situations that are relevant in their environment. Participants also learn facilitation skills and methods for decision-making, then apply them using case scenarios, role play and group discussion.
Coaching Teams Through Change Using proven change models, this module is designed to help team members explore their needs and develop coping strategies to meet organizational goals during periods of change.
